WIN TimeWIN Time, also known as "What I Need" time, is a block during the school day that provides students with math and reading intervention or enrichment.

ReadingReader's Workshop incorporates mini-lessons on important reading strategies, guided reading groups, and independent reading where students write responses in their journal on their "just right" books.

WritingWriting Workshop entails teacher modeling of writing strategies and formats. Students then construct monthly writing pieces using those methods in generating ideas, drafting, editing and revising, and presenting their work.

Social StudiesThe 5th grade social studies curriculum includes portions of the MC3 units, along with the textbook, to explore early America: Native Americans, explorers, the American Revolution, and early U.S. government.
